Der seit 2001 in der Schweiz lebende John Lyons ist in der Heimat des Blues geboren und aufgewachsen – in den USA. Er lebte mehr als 30 Jahre in den Staaten, wo er auf Bühnen von Michigan und Florida bis Chicago gespielt hat. Nach mehreren Jahren in verschiedenen Bands entschied sich John Lyons seine eigene Band zu gründen. John Lyons (Gitarre und Gesang),singt und spielt den Blues mit Authentizität und Leidenschaft. Ihr Stil ist stark beeinflusst von Musikern wie Stevie Ray Vaughn, Robert Cray oder Muddy Waters und ergibt eine Mischung - aus Texas Shuffle, Chicago Blues und New Orleans Grooves – die niemanden still sitzen lässt.

Originaire de Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA, John Lyons était bien placé pour satisfaire sa passion pour la musique en incluant des styles tels que le Blues, le Roots, le Funk et le Rock. Dans sa jeunesse il voyage intensément et acquiert de l’expérience sur scène et en studio aux Etats-Unis et en Europe. John est un interprète passionné et talentueux, désireux de faire partager à son public un parcours à travers diverses couleurs et émotions musicales. Depuis le milieu 2010, le groupe est dans une nouvelle formation qui mène l’expérience musicale vers de nouveaux sommets. Le nouveau John Lyons Band groove ensemble comme jamais et on peut ressentir cette énergie positive dans leurs concerts ! John Lyons - In My Own Words

(excuse me in advance for any/all the spelling mistakes)

Music, of all kinds, has been something which I strongly identified with as long as I can remember back. When I was a child, I would listen to the radio and fantasize about the different sounds and rhythms which I heard in a song, wondering what instruments could produce such different sounds. In an age before YouTube, and at the time before MTV, there was only my imagination to but visuals to the sounds I heard. I was born in 1969 in Kalamazoo Michigan. I was adopted at 3 months old and grew up as John Benjamin Lyons, (or simply 'J.B.' as my Dad oftened called me, or 'Johnny Boy' as some of my cousins called me, or 'Lyono' as was my nicname in HighSchool)  the youngest boy of the Lyons family. My Father Michael worked at a local bank and my mother Connie was a house mom, my adopted older brother Tom is my only other sibling. We had a modest, middle class living. My family moved 3 or 4  times around Southwest Michigan before I was 7 years old. I think that ddnt help me with the relationship thing, seemed every time I made a new friend, I was saying goodbye before long...We ended up in Glenn, Michigan
